Hello to all of our fellow UK ICF members,
Guy and I are approaching the end of our 3rd month as co-presidents of the chapter. During this time, we have focused on building strong relationships with members and have identified opportunities for growth and development. It's a time for actively listening to feedback, engaging with stakeholders, and aligning with the broader vision of ICF globally.
Through LinkedIn and the co-president mailbox, we have engaged with many of you on a variety of topics. Top of mind is the current political landscape and the high level of uncertainty around the world. Coaching is so incredibly valuable at times like these: it brings a calming space for all of us to think, to bring clarity to complex situations and insight on the best way forward.
Some of the political leaders conversations that we have witnessed over the past few weeks could have been enhanced by some strategic use of coaching tools such as:
Indeed, at its core, coaching helps individuals manage emotions, stay focused, and communicate effectively in high-tension situations.
Finally, you will have received a communication from ICF Global about the 2025 ICF Global Coaching Study. If more than 100 UK based members take part, we will have a UK specific study and report. Wouldn't that be amazing!
Please complete the study if you can (I have done mine and it takes 10 minutes!) and spread the word. This study is open to all coaching professionals, members and non-members alike. Survey Closes: April 14 Take the Survey! and spread the word around you.
Wishing you all the best with your coaching,
Laure and Guy.
Please continue the conversation. We are always delighted to hear from you, either through LinkedIn or by email at president@coachingfederation.org.uk
