President Update

As we step into an exciting new year for the UK ICF coaching community, Guy and I are delighted to start our role as new co-President. We wish you all a fulfilling and happy new year. Whether you are new to the UK ICF community or a seasoned member, we look forward to meeting you in many of our curated live or on-demand events and making the most of your UK ICF Chapter offering.

Lise kindly introduced Guy and I in the December President newsletter update. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Lise for her unwavering dedication, innovative leadership, and tireless efforts as a Chapter volunteer over the years. Her contributions have truly shaped the growth and success of UK ICF. We wish her all the best in continuing her impactful ICF journey with the Global Coaching Organisation and with her own coaching businesses.

Looking ahead, Guy and I are excited to celebrate a remarkable milestone with you  this year— the 30th anniversary of the International Coaching Federation (ICF). This anniversary gives us a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the journey so far and to look forward to even greater achievements.

As Lise outlined in her December article, Coaching remains at the heart of the world’s transformation. As Guy and I are writing these lines, ferocious wild and out of control fires are devastating the beautiful coastline around Los Angeles, reminding us of how fragile the eco-system we are part of, is. This is only one example of how quickly the world transforms, through technological advancement, the climate crisis and geopolitical tension. Coaching is so needed in uncertain times like these!

In 2025, the UK ICF schedule is packed with events, workshops, and series that will focus on personal development across various fields, designed to inspire and elevate our individual and collective growth as coaches. 

In addition, Guy and I remain committed to supporting and nurturing our local and special interest groups, ensuring that every member finds value, connection, and opportunities for professional growth within our community.

We are eager to hear from you, our members, as we continue to develop and expand the resources and initiatives that matter most to you. We will be running for the 3rd year in a row, a ‘Listen-up to Members’ session as part of the annual AGM. Please look out for the invitation in due time in our various media channels.

Your ideas and feedback are invaluable to us so please feel free to reach out in real time as well via the co-President mailbox. Together, we will foster a supportive, inspiring and dynamic environment for all.
