Special Interest Groups at UK ICF – New Launches & Existing Communities

One of the strengths of the UK ICF community is the opportunity to connect with peers who share similar interests, areas of practice, and professional questions.

Alongside our regional groups, the UK Chapter also hosts a number of Special Interest Groups (SIGs), that are communities where coaches can come together to explore specific themes, deepen their thinking, and learn from one another.

Over the years, several SIGs have become valued spaces for ongoing dialogue and professional development. We’re grateful to the leaders who have sustained these communities and continue to offer opportunities for connection.

Existing Special Interest Groups 

You may already be familiar with some of our established SIGs, including:

• Inclusion and Belonging
• Coaches Supporting Activists and Change Makers
• Conflict Coaching
• Marketing
• Partnering with Animals and the Environment
• Business Development for Coaches
• Team Coaching Community of Practice

These groups provide regular opportunities for coaches to gather with peers around shared areas of interest and practice.

New Special Interest Groups Launching in 2026

In response to emerging themes within the profession, we are also pleased to introduce several new Special Interest Groups launching this year:

• Coaching Supervision - a peer space for qualified coaching supervisors to explore reflective practice, ethical considerations, and developments in supervision practice.
• MCC Coaches - a peer learning space for Master Certified Coaches to explore advanced practice, mastery, and professional stewardship within the coaching profession.
• Outdoor Coaching - exploring how nature-based. environments can support deeper reflection, presence, and transformational coaching conversations.
• Burnout Coaching - exploring ethical, evidence-informed approaches to burnout prevention and recovery in coaching practice.
• AI in Coaching - examining how artificial intelligence is shaping coaching practice, tools, and ethics.
• Neuroscience in Coaching - exploring the intersection of neuroscience research and coaching conversations.
• Neurodiversity in Coaching - exploring neuro-inclusive coaching approaches that support diverse ways of thinking, learning, and experiencing the world.

These groups are designed to create thoughtful spaces for reflection, dialogue, and shared learning across the UK coaching community.
