About the group
The Neuroscience for Coaches SIG creates a space for coaches to explore what neuroscience can genuinely contribute to coaching practice. We examine topics including perception, emotion, attention, trust, memory, beliefs and behaviour, while remaining alert to oversimplification and unsupported claims.
Our regular online sessions combine a focused neuroscience introduction with breakout conversations and wider group reflection. Rather than presenting neuroscience as a set of definitive answers, we use it as another lens through which to understand clients, coaching relationships and processes of change.
Members are encouraged to bring their own experience, questions and perspectives. There is no expectation that anyone should already understand the science or reach a particular conclusion. The aim is to learn together and translate complex ideas into thoughtful, appropriately nuanced coaching practice.
Who will benefit from this group?
This group is for coaches at any stage who are curious about the brain, behaviour and change. No prior knowledge of neuroscience is required: sessions make complex ideas accessible while retaining scientific nuance. Members will gain practical frameworks for thinking about coaching, opportunities to test ideas against their own experience, and space to learn with other coaches through discussion and reflection.
