Maidenhead

The Maidenhead Coaching Group is a Local Coaching Group of the UK Chapter of ICF. We offer a relaxed, informal monthly meet-up with a professional approach, where coaches talk through real coaching questions together. All coaches are welcome, whether or not you are an ICF member.

About the group

Are you looking to broaden your network of coaches so that you can discuss coaching in depth with other professional coaches?

If so, come and join the Maidenhead Coaching Group, a UK Chapter of ICF Local Coaching Group. All coaches are welcome, whether accredited or on the way to a coaching accreditation. You don’t need to be an ICF member to join.

We meet monthly for a couple of hours. This is a relaxed, informal group with a professional approach. It is less about listening to speakers and more about connecting with other coaches and discussing the coaching topics and challenges that matter to the group on the day.

The format is typically as follows:

  • 9.30am: start, tea/coffee, introductions and welcome
  • 10am to 11.15am: join one of the tables, where one of the coaches acts as facilitator. They will make sure each member of the table has the chance to share what they would like to focus on in the session. Typical topics could include:
    • “How do I create a coaching agreement?”
    • “I’ve heard about gestalt coaching. What’s the group’s experience?”
    • “One of my clients is bringing up a topic I feel challenged by, and I’d like some ideas from the group on how to handle it.”
    • “I’d like to be more direct in my coaching style.”
  • 11.15am to 11.30am: debrief and close

These are just a few of the many topics you might like to cover. During the conversation, you may ask the group to coach you on your topic, or you may want some ideas and views. Each table of coaches sets its own agenda.

From time to time there may also be:

  • coaching triads, giving you the benefit of receiving coaching and feedback on your coaching style
  • speakers focusing on a specific topic

The ticket price includes your first drink, after which you are welcome to buy hot drinks from the café. You are also welcome to buy breakfast or food. The dress code is casual.
