I am an NHS lifer, meaning that the NHS has been my profession, my employment and my passion.

I am a clinician (Chartered Physiotherapist) by background then moved into multi professional clinical management roles in early to mid-career. Subsequent roles included operational management posts, Clinical Director and Executive Director roles in NHS Trusts; Clinical leadership roles in the Intermediate tier and two national Clinical Quality roles, one in England and one in Scotland.

I have also worked with the Medical Royal Colleges and with the national improvement agencies where I designed and led several large scale improvement programmes.

I trained as a Coach ( Coaching Development Ltd ) after being frequently asked by senor staff to help them navigate and respond to organisational change and the pressures of senior leadership. I am ICF registered and accredited ( ACC ), and have been working as a coach for 10 years.

I specialise in coaching women health care clinical leaders at times of personal and organisational change, and have helped dozens of NHS staff land well in a new role or make progress in the current one.

I work on a freelance basis through my own company, Nerissa Coaching and Consulting Ltd. I hold individual and NHS corporate contacts as a Coach, I am a coach with the NHS Leadership Academy and I also have commissions with Health Services Executive Eire to deliver Improvement training in Tanzania and with Warwick Business School to teach on their MBA programme. I also mentor for student Coaches in training, (Coaching Development Ltd.)

Out of work I am an experienced sailor and a circumnavigator.
