Richard Collins

Coach and Facilitator – bringing a signature mix of kindness/compassion and challenge/action to conversations that result in change.

I work with a wide range of people and small groups, offering four different types of conversation that support you to get from where you are now, to where you want to be:

1. 1-1 coaching – space to make change for yourself
2. Small group facilitation, including Action Learning Sets – overcome challenges with support from a group of peers
3. Facilitated conversations – reconcile a relationship
4. Skills training (including Coaching as Leader/Manager) – grow your skillset

I worked for 22 years in music management, including 8 years as Head of Programming at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester, UK. I completed the Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching at the Academy of Executive Coaching (Jun 23) and shortly after became accredited by the International Coaching Federation as an Associate Certified Coach (Nov 24). I’m a trained Action Learning Set Facilitator (3D Coaching, Jun 25) and an experienced mediator.

Consider working with me if you are looking for:
– A qualified and accredited Executive Coach working to the highest professional and ethical coaching standards
– Outcomes that include ‘life-changing’ and ‘a profound change in myself’ with ROI described as ‘worth every penny’ and ‘invaluable’
– A kind and calm coach, often described as the ‘best listener I have ever met’ (see Testimonials)
– Someone with extensive experience of workplace challenges and change, including senior management/team leadership in complex environments
– Someone with specialist sector knowledge of music, arts, venues, and higher education
– Someone with a proven track-record of collaboration and inclusive practice

My clients say:

“Richard is astute, kind and open which allowed me space to unpack and define issues. He has a natural warmth and was able to push me to tackling difficult questions when needed.” Seb, Head of Marketing

“Our sessions have provided me with a sense of calmness and control in my life that I didn’t think I could ever achieve… it genuinely feels life-changing.” Alice, Social Responsibility Officer
