Rachel Varrilly Gierula

I have over 25 years of corporate experience in leadership and people development roles, and over the last decade I’ve worked in the learning space, with a focus on career and leadership development; culture and transformational change. In my early career I led business units with large teams. I learnt how to operate in a highly regulated environment with tight targets and demanding stakeholders. I also learnt the value of building a strong team, creating trust and a shared sense of purpose. It was pacey, exciting, and often exhausting!

Today I bring my cumulative experiences to the table when I work with 1:1 or team coaching clients dealing with topics like navigating politics; influencing and effecting positive change; managing egos, hierarchy, and stakeholders; spotting weaknesses and flaws in strategy and delivery; and building the best possible outcome or product for the customer, the business, and the team.

I provide consultancy support to organisations who wish to transition to a coaching culture; exploring their coaching and people processes, and mapping out what will need to happen to transition safely and effectively. I teach coaching for a university accredited programme and I’m a coaching supervisor, offering ethical guidance, feedback and support to other coaches.
