Michelle Bayley
I specialise in helping people to change career and to be their best as leaders. With 22 years' coaching experience, my background in Government communications means I understand my clients' busy, and often complex, working environments.
Down to earth and approachable, my clients say that I’m intuitive, warm and provide them with the right amount of challenge.
As a career transition coach, I use a tried and tested approach to support people to gain clarity about work which will be fulfilling and meaningful for them and I train other coaches to use the process too. As an executive coach, I support clients with topics including:
– work overwhelm / setting boundaries
– leadership style / leading through change
– dealing with a noisy inner critic
– managing difficult work relationships
– preparing for competency based interviews
– creating successful jobshare partnerships
I’m very experienced in helping my clients to get “unstuck” by identifying how they might be holding themselves back and enabling them to make changes step by step. Careeer change, in particular, can be daunting and this was one client’s experience:
“Working with Michelle was hugely helpful. I learned so much about myself; including my strengths, priorities and motivators. I loved the structured approach of the sessions, and how they built on each other. Michelle was kind and patient throughout, but equally presented me with the right amount of challenge to make sure I properly questioned and explored my thinking, and conclusions.
Most happily, I’ve now started a new role and am thoroughly enjoying it, and believe that Michelle’s coaching played a big part in me knowing when that good thing came along, and grasping the opportunity.”
My clients’ backgrounds range across sectors and seniority from C-Suite/ senior civil servants to people in the earlier stages of their career. Based in West London, I coach with people online, across the UK and beyond.
Thirty years in Government Comms taught me that a sense of humour helps in most situations and I’m quick to use humour but only when it’s appropriate!
A certified Professional Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation (ICF) since 2010, I trained with the highly respected Co-Active Training Institute (CTI) and have undertaken ongoing professional development training throughout my time as a coach.
