Julie Potter

Coaching for creatives and changemakers.

As a coach, I partner with clients to facilitate generative inquiry, transformative processes and meaningful results. My coaching practice calls upon deep experience engaging with artist communities, cultural organizers, creative changemakers and social impact leaders. I additionally draw upon my background in performance and pedagogy to facilitate a coaching journey which integrates client vision with emotional, embodied and relational awareness.

By balancing supportive resourcing and challenging provocations, I hold space for clients to create outcomes aligned with their values and attuned to what’s happening both inside and around them. I am passionately curious and will meet you where you are with care and focus.

I am accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF) as an Associate Certified Coach and was trained as part of the National Arts Strategies Leadership Coaching Program in partnership with the Goldvarg Consulting Group. My professional career and creative work spans across arts and culture, public life and higher education in the U.S. and Europe. In addition to providing support in navigating complexity, cultivating learning environments and leadership development, clients work with me to build regenerative and creative practices.

Coaching sessions can be used to build awareness, explore new perspectives and develop personal strategies and pragmatic actions. My approach is developmental: as new opportunities and challenges emerge in your professional and personal spheres, our sessions will foster continued learning. Between sessions, you can expect to spend some time each week taking on some new actions or practices, which support larger shifts. Coaching requires engagement from you.

Who do you want to be and how do you want to show up for yourself and others? Let’s talk about bringing your vision to life.

I work with individual clients around the world through video conference. As a courtesy to prospective clients, you can schedule an informational call to meet and ask any questions you may have.

In addition to individual coaching services, I offer group coaching for cohorts and teams. Participants have the opportunity to advance meaningful goals for themselves and their organizations, build perspective and connections, navigate challenges and learn from each other.
