UK ICF Members Opportunity To Coach:
Partnership between UpRising and UK ICF

You are invited to work with UpRising to support their mission to open pathways to power for talented young people from diverse backgrounds.  They are calling for both coaches and ICF Coach Supervisors to contribute to a worthy project which will support societal change while developing your coaching practice.  You will have the opportunity to build your hours as you work with young people from diverse backgrounds.

UpRising have been delivering programmes since 2008, offering a range of leadership and employability programmes for 16-25 year olds in London, Bedford, Luton, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and Cardiff. They have a growing alumni body of over 2500 young people and equip them with the knowledge, networks, skills and confidence to fulfil their leadership potential, find new opportunities and transform the world around them through social action. Thanks to the generosity of their  supporters, participants do not have to pay to attend any of the programmes.

Having previously worked with UK ICF in 2015 UpRising would like to give the opportunity to members to re-establish the working relationship. Due to the nature of the young adults that UpRising work with and the leadership journey they are being taken through, they want to offer the highest level opportunities to them during their time with UpRising - this is where you can help.

Currently there are around 65 active coaches working with their young people and they are looking to replenish and add to their coaches. The coaching programme takes place between January and July and UpRising are looking for additional coaches to support with the offer of supervision, provided pro-bono by coach supervisors.

The Benefits:

  • The opportunity to work with diverse young adults from a variety of places across the country, gaining and developing coaching skills
  • The benefit of working with a national charity
  • The opportunity to build up your pro-bono hours

If you are interested in this opportunity please register here.

UpRising are also looking for coach supervisors who would be willing to offer pro-bono supervision to the coaches working on the programme; level of commitment can be negotiated.
